Eligibility

You need to be 13 or older to use this site — the same floor our privacy policy draws — and membership starts at the same age. Venues set event ages: where a room is 18+ or 21+, the venue's rule holds over anything written here, so read the listing before you plan around it.

Membership & conduct

Membership is open to anyone making music in or around Austin, and to anyone in the creative industry who wants to work alongside them. No dues, no auditions; it is personal and non-transferable. One standing rule travels with it: treat the room the way you want the scene to be. Harassment, discrimination, and gatekeeping have no home here, in person or in the Discord.

Leaving is simple — stop coming, leave the Discord, and you are no longer a member; there is no account to cancel. The other direction belongs to the organizers, who may warn, turn away, or remove anyone who makes the community worse, with no notice when the safety of the room is the reason, and whose call is final. Removal changes nothing about what you own: your tracks, samples, and name stay yours.

Events & photography

Events happen in rooms our venue partners lend us, and attending means following the house rules of whichever space we are in. RSVPs run through Meetup and some rooms cap attendance — an RSVP is a plan, not a contract, but tell us if yours changes.

Most events are photographed and some are filmed for recaps, and attending means consenting to that coverage. Tell an organizer at check-in and we will keep you out of frame; email us and a published photo of you comes down.

Your work

Feedback at an Assembly is opinion, offered producer to producer — not professional, legal, or A&R advice. Playing a work-in-progress for the room is not publication and gives nobody in it any rights, and recording someone else's unreleased work without asking is a conduct violation.

Submitting to the Bash transfers no ownership. You grant only what the event needs: permission to play submissions at the Bash, to feature them in recaps, and to include them, with credit, in a community compilation. Submit only material you have the rights to share — uncleared work comes down, and the clearance stays your responsibility.

The uploaders and the member chat on this site are demonstrations: files and messages stay in your browser and reach no one, so bring your track with you on the night, and clear site data when you want the chat gone.

Store & Prods

The store is a demonstration. Checkout validates the shape of a card number and nothing more, no payment is collected or processed, and no order placed today obligates anyone to anything. Your cart and receipt exist only in your browser — the privacy policy lists exactly where. These terms will be updated before any real money moves.

Prods are the Alliance's participation currency: members earn them for showing up and contributing, and each is worth $1.00 of credit toward items in our inventory, redeemed in person. Prods are not money — no cash value, no buying, selling, or transferring — and the program may change or wind down as the Alliance evolves.

Acceptable use

Use the site as a visitor, not a target. Do not probe or disrupt it, harvest it for spam lists, impersonate the Alliance or its members, or present its demonstration surfaces to anyone as the real thing. The rack does real work in your browser — load only audio you have the right to load, and watch your levels.

Intellectual property

The Alliance name, the tick mark, and the writing and design of this site belong to the Austin Producer Alliance. Press and partners are welcome to the brand assets in our resources library; ask before reusing anything else. Producer work shown here belongs to the producers who made it, and nothing on this site grants you a license to any of it.

Liability & law

This site and everything the Alliance runs are provided as-is by a volunteer community organization, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, the Alliance and its organizers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the site or attendance at events; nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Texas law governs these terms, and disputes belong in the state or federal courts of Travis County. If a court strikes part of these terms, the rest stands. These terms and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and the Alliance about this site and its events, and a term we do not enforce today stays enforceable tomorrow. Before any of that, write to hello@austinproduceralliance.com — a volunteer collective and a filing fee are a poor match.

Changes to these terms

These terms will grow as the Alliance does — a live store, the Prods rollout, and new programs will each land here before they launch. The date at the top marks the current version, and continuing to use the site or attend events after a change means the new terms apply.
